Η Jane Weaver έχει μια καριέρα 20++ χρόνων κάτω από τη μύτη των περισσοτέρων. Πρώτα ως μπροστάρισσα δύο συγκροτημάτων τη δεκαετία του '90 (Kill Laura, Misty Dixon) και μετά ως σόλο καλλιτέχνης. Στην πορεία εστίασε στην folk μουσική που αργότερα τη διάνθισε με διακριτικά ηλεκτρονικά στοιχεία.

Η καλύτερη -πιθανόν- στιγμή της είναι ο φετινός της δίσκος Modern Kosmology που οι ενδοσκοπικές του μελωδίες μας έκαναν να τον προσέξουμε για τα καλά. Τα χαμηλά σε ένταση αλλά γεμάτα ζεστασιά keyboards που αντηχούν στο δωμάτιο, τα ντραμς που έχουν αρρυθμίες, και η καίρια γλυκιά φωνή της που μπαίνει μόνο εκεί που χρειάζεται, φτιάχνουν ένα φθινοπωρινό progressive πουλόβερ, ένα νούμερο μεγαλύτερο, που χώνεσαι (και χάνεσαι) μέσα του.

Συνολικά αλλά και σε επιμέρους κομμάτια ένας πραγματικά εμπνευσμένος δίσκος.
